How I Make Clam Chowder
This is a New England style clam chowder.
3 potatos
1 onion
1TBSP bacon fat
half and half
progesso clam choder
can of clams (washed and save juice)
flour
1TBSP butter
salt pepper
Directions
dice potato and onion
Strain clams *important* saving clam juice
Wash clams
Saute Clams, Potatos, Onions in bacon fat.
Add a splash of water if it gets sticky,
...until potatos are cooked.
Make a roux with the butter and flour.
Add clam juice, half & half, progesso soup.
Maybe add half a bulion cube if the flavor needs it,
some flour slurry if it's too thin, maybe some water
if it needs it.
salt & pepper.
